First I want to apologize for my lack of blogging. This month has been crazy. But there is so much I want to update you on! So here we go:

Uganda: This month my team was with Team Phoenix and we had a blast! However, the spiritual climate here is extremely harsh so we’ve spent most of the month on our knees praying. The Lord has showed up in absolutely amazing ways! (more to come later).

Utter Dependence: I’ve officially reached the “Dependence stage” of the trip. I can do absolutely nothing and I need so much more of Jesus. If you’d like to be praying for me in a specific way just ask the Lord to continually fill me up. More and more. Every second. I can never get enough Jesus, enough of His Spirit and I never will. But I need more. So much more!

Sickness: Another thing that has attacked us this month. Between both teams only 4 people didn’t get sick this month. Everyone got either Typhoid or Malaria, so we’ve had to spend the month trading off between ministry and resting. Thankfully no one was under the weather for too long! Tim Fizzell and I however won the disease-lottery and got BOTH Malaria and Typhoid at the same time. Luckily we caught it early and I’m not feeling near as bad as I should. I have medicine and should be back to healthy me in a few days!

Clean: For all those who haven’t heard…I finally was BAPTIZED! Last month at our Debrief in Nairobi, our coach Scott Pitts baptized me. I am so excited that I was finally baptized with all of my Race family there and in Africa, too!

Provision: This month I heard the Lord asking me to refrain from using any personal money. He wanted to provide everything, even down to shampoo, for me. So that’s what I did. And who would’ve guessed — God is so faithful! I had everything provided for me, even down to tampons! (Sorry any guys reading this!) He even threw in a Coke here and there for me. Gotta love that God of mine 🙂

Support: I’m fully funded! Yipee! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has supported me on The World Race. I could NOT have done any of this without you and can never ever thank you enough. I pray abundant blessings on each and every one of you. If you still feel the Lord calling you to give, I do have additional costs (flights, gear, insurance, vaccinations, etc) that need to be covered outside of AIM. So if you would like to help with that send anything to:

My teammates Casey and Erin Scritchfield  are still in need of support and would greatly appreciate any donations! AIM staffer Matt Snyder is in need of any financial support you feel called to give. Thanks again!

Up Next: We’re currently in Jinja, Uganda for a few days. camping at the source of the Nile River! On Friday we will depart for Tanzania! We have no clue what ministry looks like yet or who we will be with, but keep the whole squad in your prayers!

And it’s almost at day 200 on the Race! Crazy how time flies!
