We’ve had our first official team changes! I am now on an all-girl’s team named Joyous Noise. We chose this name because we want to bring joy everywhere we go, and we’re kind of loud. Two of the girls on my last team are still with me, but I’m excited to get to know my four new sisters. Joyous noise consists of myself, Chris Bondurant, Monique Lohmeyer, Chelsea Miller, Tonya Reif, Sarah Pierson, and our team leader is Hannah Buchanan. You can find links to their blogs on the left hand side of this page! They are awesome women of God and I’m so blessed to be able to minister and grow alongside them.

We’ve finished our first week of ministry in Malaysia! Malaysia is a closed country where the main religion is Islam. Our team is staying in a house in Sungai Petani. Our ministry this month consists of prayer walks around the neighborhood each morning and visiting children in the hospital in the evening. This month I have the opportunity to do some music therapy with our contact’s nephew, Daniel. I’ll write a blog more about him later. We also get to perform in some worship concerts, preach, choreograph Indian songs, do a skit, and go caroling. This month is definitely pushing our comfort zones but we’ve been so blessed by everyone here already. We also found out we will be spending January in Cambodia! We’re still not sure what our ministry for the month is or where we’ll be living, but I'm excited for whatever God has in store for us!
