Sorry I didn't blog at all this past month! My team along with two others were outside of Mbabane, Swaziland working at El Shaddai Children's Home. It was seriously the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life!!

On our way to El Shaddai, I began feeling super sick. I hoped it was just a weird 24 hour flu thing so I just went to bed and didn't really worry about it. But of course the next day I woke up and felt worse. My fever kept rising and all I could do was seriously lay in bed. After having a month of sickness in Malawi I was pretty annoyed. I was looking forward to finally having a month where I didn't get sick and this was how I was going to start out my month?
It was pretty evident that I wasn't getting better so I was taken to the hospital, got a blood test taken and found out I had malaria. Blechhh.
So I was in the hospital for a few days, came back to our home, and then was out another two weeks! Malaria left me feeling so tired and weak I could not do anything. I would need to take a 3 hour nap just after taking a shower, it was ridiculous.
But, in trusting the Lord, I knew that I had it for some reason and was open to whatever He had to teach me through it. I think mainly it was just that His plan is more in control than my plan.
I had a plan that Swaziland would be an awesome, healthy month. It was still awesome, but just different than what I had planned.
On a fun note, because I was bed-ridden, I got to be creative with our family dinner. Because there were two other teams with us, each team would cook for all three teams once during the month to have fellowship together. For our dinner, we had a murder mystery dinner party. Since I was sick I was able to spend lots of time creating characters for people to play. Everyone got super into it which just made it that much more fun. And good news, I am now completely better and feeling back to normal!

Our team at the murder mystery dinner party. I might've been Honey Boo Boo.
