Brrrrrrrr…it’s cold here (wish you could feel it-though you prob. don’t want to… let’s just say this Georgia girl is feeling it:)..SO you won’t believe what I’m doing right now…PACKING (i know- a shock) for Moldova…just enjoying my fav. bakery one last time (they have the 2nd best chocolate croissants- 2nd to only the French;)…leaving by train late tonight…such is my life… but i truly love it though…just wanted to give  quick lil’ update before we leave

…this morning began with

my sleeping bag trying to eat me…that was fun…and he won- it was obvious that he def. wanted me to sleep in…so i did…just enjoying our last day here in Skopje, Macedonia…leaving by train midnight tonight…after this mornings attack from my sleeping bag I realized…obviously he thinks I need to stay in Macedonia (i might have to agree-we had an amazing going away party w/ staff & students & friends last night-(thank you)…and once again it’s that time…time to say good-bye…this month has been a time to encourage…and in some ways much like Kyiv in other ways completely different…now for a few random thoughts/update in general…tonight will be much like this time last month…just sitting on my bottom bunk on a train somewhere lost in the middle over a 33hour transit bt/wn Kyiv, Ukraine and Belgrade, Serbia (if your like me…your prob. thinking where the heck is Serbia…Eastern Europe…1st …and to be more specific… part of the former Yugoslavia region (that was split into like 5 different countries…with foreign/weird names:)…still don’t know…hahahh…me either…I suppose it’s somewhere near Macedonia…since that is where we are eventually ending up…but if your like me…we’ll have to wait and look it up on a map! …this time the next 2 days we will be lost in transit between Macedonia & Moldova…SO yeah…that’s sort of…no…actually…really fun…boring to some…but to me it’s some down time to do some WELL over do things (like write-journaling or read or even catch up on sleep) and just enjoy the ride…to me it’s ADVENTURE…the rush…of not knowing anything…experiencing something new…with travel…I love it…I feel alive!!!

So…yeah…if I haven’t already told you that…we just finished month 10 and are leaving  Skopje, Macedonia (Skopje- is the capitol- the big city;) We worked with a contact that I had thru a former church member that is a missionary in Eastern Europe…he’s like the head of Campus Crusade in this region…this month we had to set up our ministry by ourselves…it’s our “atl” ask the Lord month…kind of…will explain some other time…they changed it midway thru the race…but we got to choose bt/wn 4 or 5 countries in Eastern Europe…and this just worked…so we worked with Scott Mathews and helped him/crusade with university students again (like we did in Ukraine).

…let me just say…Ukraine was a good month- really enjoyed investing in those kids- when we left we had 8 or so of our kids come to the station at10am. to tell us goodbye…some even skipping classes…they hugged, teared up, and once we were forced on by our mean conductor lady they were standing on our platform holding “we love & will miss you” signs…and running beside and after us when the train began to chug away- absolutely precious- such a sweet moment- something that I will forever cherish- to know that God allowed us to make a difference in their lives- He allowed us to challenge and encourage them & that goodbye testifies of what happened this month & last- the love- so cool… I just love when God shows you a little bit of the fruit that is sown…b/c so often we don’t get to see that part and the enemy def. attacks me and puts thoughts such as “you can’t make a difference”, “your wasting time and money…not just yours”, etc…so I love when God proves otherwise! …we would have loved to stay   in Kyiv-there’s no telling what God could’ve done with all that with more time but Aim told us we must move on…which makes me think God must have big plans for next month b/c normally when you don’t think it can get better…it does…so, we’ll see…and it was…this month we will partnered with Campus Crusade…doing outreaches, events, discipleship, manual labor, etc…sounds like a lot of what my 1st overseas mission trip was to Budapest (bringing glory to Him)…needless to say, I’m sad to leave but also excited about our upcoming month…the craziest thing is that it’s our 11month on the field…so crazy…where has this year gone!?!… and technically it’s our last full month…on Oct. 31st we leave for our last month- month 11 we will be heading to-Moldova- haven’t heard what we’re doing yet (as always:) but I know that’s our last month or I should say last 2 weeks- it’s cut a little early due to final debrief (in Romania) and our return home date…officially being NOV. 20th!!!!!

I will be back on U.S. soil on Nov. 20th- hitting the BIG apple!!!

yeserday I watched the snow come in over the mountains (seiously, God- this is my life seeing your…gorgeous creation all over the world & loving & telling people about You…He will blow you away if you chose to truly surrender & follow Him…not always easy but worth it:)

“In life we have two plans we can follow…the culture’s plan OR God’s plan. Culture’s plan says to find your groove, settle & establish, earn & save, consolidate & maintain speed, & die…or you can choose to run towards God’s plan…which is, ‘follow me with abandon at every age with an eager expectation that I will use your life for my purposes in the world. Risk always. Never completely settle, Always look toward Heaven for answers. Be mine. Be different. DIE GLORIOUSLY!'” – Louie

well, got to go finish packing or start reallly;)

ps. check out my teammates blog for our last goodbye-it’s a few clips of what I was telling you about- check it out:
