It’s month two. It’s Thailand month! The Land of Smiles. The land of the free. The land where less than one percent of the people are aware of the hope of Christ. Which means less than one percent of the people of Thailand understand the love of the Father.
But then really, do I?
In China, the Lord gave me this picture of love. We were meeting as a whole squad, and I looked around me, and I just loved those people. I shared with them how beautiful it would be if, every time someone walked into a room, we greeted them the way the Lord greets us when we talk to him. I pictured the way Jesus’ face probably lights up upon even the quietest whisper of one of His children. We start talking to Him, and I can just see Him saying, ‘Oh, I love your voice! Tell me everything! Tell me the good things and the hard things. Tell me about your hurts and your joys. Tell me about your wounds and your healings. Tell me about your strongholds. Tell me about your victories. Just tell me what you did today! I love you. I’m listening. I want to know everything. I LOVE you.’
That picture of love changes everything about the way I see people, about the way I talk to them, and about the way I love them. That image of love came at the end of the month in China.
In Thailand, it happened at the beginning. We were having a time of prayer as a team, really seeking the Lord and desiring to hear his voice. One of my teammates looked so at peace. Her arm flinched a little, as if she had fallen asleep.
And all I could think about was how precious it must be to the Lord when one of His children falls asleep in His arms. Because I know one of the sweetest moments in life is when a child falls asleep in my arms while I’m talking to him. And how much sweeter it must be for the Lord, as he holds us in His arms, desires so desperately to hear our voice, and we are so at peace in His presence that we simply drift to sleep as he holds us.
I can’t wait for more love to be revealed. What does the deep love of our Father look like to you?
For me?
LOVE. Excited Love. Fatherly Love. Jesus Love. Heaven-on-earth-Love. Just-talk-to-me-Love. Hold-me-in-your-arms-while-I-fall-asleep-Love.

(This is a picture I took when we visited Tiananmen Square. This is the kind of love I'm talking about.)
