CAMBODIA*the month of the pony tail and the the bun..
the girls of fuego
are doing a little challenge this month.. were gonna go the entire month
without washing our hair.. : ) should be interesting!! but more importantly
were back to the bush of cambodia! no a/c no running water.. back
to mosquito nets, the infamous squatty potty, and sleeping on the floor.. and of course i LOVE IT! it so much fun.. cambodia is bringing back so many memories from nepal they are so much alike.. yesterday we spent hours in the rice fields. its by far the hardest work i have done on the
race.. i couldnt move when i woke up this morning! its rough being in
ankle deep water, bent over, in the hot sun, just pulling and
planting seeds! there are all types of creepy crawlers in that water..
bugs of all sorts thank God we havent seen any
snakes! we went running yesterday through the village to explore and
saw so many dead ones along the road.. yikes!!! the people here are awesome! i absolutely love the asian culture everyone is so kind and they all wear the biggest smiles… andddd
they love them some volleyball! our team is doing really good.. the
heat like thailand is wearing on us.. man nothing knocks you on your
butt like the heat here! from 12:00 till about 2:00 you can find
everybody laying somewhere shaded.. its impossible to do anything of
worth during that time slot! the boys of teen challenge took us to their
“pool” which just so happens to be the coolest little pond surrounded by tons of tree’s and big rocks.. it was so much fun!!
this is such a quick update i will take time this
week and come up with more about the month when im not rushed.. but for
now just wanted to tell you guys that fuego is safe and sound !!!
