so as you may have been able to tell from some context clues left in my earlier blogs.. Joburg hasn’t been the easiest place for me, and you know its hard to put a finger on why.. i dont think its one thing, i think its a bunch of small things.. the combination has been trying to say the least! i would say from experience that its harder adapting back into REAL LIFE.. then it is leaving america and heading into the middle of nowhere!!! so you can imagine my excitement when our contact approached us with a weekend get away to…… no where else but the BUSH! yay*!!!!! i knew i had to go! so me and 5 others grabbed our tents and headed a couple hours away to a remote village, and there i found my smile again.. i found my joy again.. i found PEACE! oh my goodness it was such a blessing for me to get away and just get back to the basic’s.. RELATIONSHIP!! Oh one of my favorite parts of this trip has been the times i have been able to sit down with complete strangers and talk life over a cup of tea.. no cell phone disruptions.. no urgent e-mails to get to.. its nice.. its really nice : ) i love everything about simple living! so back to our weekend in the bush.. we had so much fun! our main objective was a teaching seminar. so kk, adrienne, lindsey, and i studied all week long and taught these cresh(pre-school) teachers how to teach their little kiddo’s. we taught them all about motor development, intellectual development, cognitive development, and social development! i was thankful i had taken child psych in college!! while we were busy in the class room vinny and juddson where outside re-pairing the play ground.. it was a lovely time of fellowship, and at night we worshiped by the fire under the stars! there is nothing better!!!! it was so special, and was just what i needed.. a little boost.. a little bush in the middle of the city! : ) here are some pictures from our weekend! cheers*!!
