Guess who has great news!?

ME!!!!!! =)

And I am sooo excited because it’s right up my alley, like a dream come true, like the cheese to my macaroni, and the ketchup to my taters or the gravy to my biscuits(as we say in the South.)

Travel Time!!!

As you may know, it is time for me to leave Romania. I’m in the process of packing my bags and kissing my sweet bed goodbye. I’m about to board a train for an overnight ride to the airport, where I’ll fly to the Middle East for a layover in Qatar (small country next to Saudi Arabia). We’ll sleep in a hotel for five hours and then head to the airport again. Then, we’ll ride a bus for 17 hours to our ministry site. Travel days are always so very long. They’re filled with fifty something, dirty world racers who are carrying around a years worth of belongings on their backs and so tired that they’ll sleep anyplace imaginable. The benefits are the moments when you look out the window of your plane and realize just how blessed you are to be exactly where you are.

Here’s the good part. 🙂

For the next month (including Christmas and New Years), I’ll be living in my tent on Coffee Bay, South Africa. I’ll be working with a sports camp for African kids. Sports such as soccer, cricket, and SURFING! I’m so excited because I have always wanted to surf…..I guess I should learn how to before I can teach these kids. Oh, and last month before I knew about these plans I had a vision about me surfing with the Lord. Cool! Cool

Every week we get one day off. This is a time to either relax or go off and adventure. I’ve heard we may get to go whale watching or swim with dolphins. Umm, yes please. Bucket list check offs. 75 degree perfectness. I look forward to worshipping under the most amazing view of stars, camping out with about twenty world racer friends, and spending one of my favorite times of the year in Africa. No shopping/overspending, no presents, no Christmas tree, no snow, no internet, no worries. Just sun, sand, and beautiful African children who I can spend my days with, playing and talking about Jesus. That’s more than I could ever want.

Well, I’ll keep you guys updated best

possible. Thanks for your friendship,

love, and support. I pray you are very

blessed! Merry Christmas from my

family to yours! Heart
