What if all we did was pray? Seriously.
Think about it. What if that’s all we did… Do we believe enough in
prayer to have faith it could be enough? So many times we think we
need to DO instead of BE. I need to go, I need to serve,
I need to read my Bible, I need to journal, I need, I
need, I need. You get the point. *Now, please don’t hear that I’m
saying don’t do those things, but rather, don’t get caught
up
in doing those things. Are you so busy doing things for
Jesus that you’re not spending any time with Him? (reference-Luke
10:42) I know I’ve been guilty of that this year.

Something I’ve realized over this past
year is the power of prayer. A very simple statement, but when the
reality of that sets in-it can change your life, literally. Can I
ask you a question? Do you pray in boldness? Do you approach the
throne and ask your Father for the gifts He’s been waiting to give
you? Why would a father give you a snake, when you ask for a fish?
(Luke 11:11) All He truly wants, is to hear from His kids every once and a
while, doesn’t every parent? All prayer really is, is a conversation
with Him. He just wants us to come to Him, through the hard times and
the good times. He rejoices along with us, but also cries along with
us too.

We were in church one Sunday, here in Prague, and the
Pastor told us about a story he recently read. It was about a man who
died and went to heaven. He was brought to a warehouse that was
filled with all these amazing things! When he asked what it was, he
was told it was everything he never asked for, but that God
wanted to give him in his lifetime. WOW! That got me thinking.
There are so many blessings we miss out on in life, because we do not
ask. “Until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask
and you will receive, and your JOY will be
complete.”
John 16:24
He’s our heavenly Father, wanting THE BEST for us! Why
would He withhold?

I entered my prayer time tonight
“meeting” God on a park bench in a garden. We sat for an hour and
talked. I shared my concerns with Him. I shared my thoughts with Him. I shared my tears with Him. I laughed with Him. And I listened to Him. That’s all He wanted. That’s
all I needed
