Well, it’s almost been a month since
I’ve been home (hard to believe). I’ve had the chance to catch up
with friends and family, eat at my favorite restaurants, enjoy great
conversations over coffee and just plain enjoy the comforts of home.
Since being home, I’ve gone to Chicago with three of my closest
friends from high school. And last week, I went to Cincinnati to
visit my extended family. I feel so blessed to be able to travel in
the U.S. and spend time with loved ones.

After I share a little bit about my
trip, the question which usually follows is…WHAT’S NEXT?
Well, I’m happy to tell you…drum roll…I’m moving to Georgia to
begin a sixth month apprenticeship with Adventures in Missions! In
less than two weeks, I will be living and working in Gainesville,
Georgia, which is about an hour outside of Atlanta. During my
apprenticeship my main focus will be with the recruiting department.
It’s kind of perfect really, with my past experience recruiting high
school students to attend Spring Arbor University, because I will be
able to transfer the knowledge of that recruiting to AIM. And the
exciting thing is that I will be on board to help them take their
recruiting department to the next level. AIM hasn’t had a specific
recruiting department until now, so I’m excited to see what will
unfold over these next sixth months. I’m really looking forward to
staying within the World Race community a little longer.
needed. So first and foremost, I ask that you would be praying for
me. I’ve had almost a year of constant change, so one might think
it’s easy…but it’s not as easy as you would think so your prayers
would mean a lot. I would also welcome your prayers as I continue to
process through this past year.

however, I will be raising my support. Yes, everyone, Lauren is
going to be a full-fledged missionary. I found a cause I believe in,
with an experience that is one of a kind and I feel this is where God
wants me for this next chapter in my life. I can’t wait to see what’s
in store! So I am turning to you, my supporters. You have prayed for
me, encouraged me, laughed with me, cried with me-truly SUPPORTED
me in every way possible. And now I’m asking if you will consider
partnering with me for this next adventure. I need to raise $10,000
for the six months in Georgia (January to June). You can make a
tax-deductible donation HERE on my blog. You can choose
between monthly giving, or a one time gift. And if you would prefer
not to donate online, you can send a check to AIM at:
*Adventures In Missions
is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts
with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies
completely at the discretion of Adventures In Missions and that the
gifts are non refundable and non transferable, per IRS regulations.
Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax advisor.
And
if you’re wondering, yes! I will be keeping up my blog so that you
will know what I’m up to in Georgia and how your support is making a
difference. If you have questions please feel free to email me at
[email protected]. If at
this time you are not able to give financially I understand. I would
appreciate your prayers though as I make another transition. Making
the decision to move away from friends and family in Michigan was not
an easy one. After prayerfully considering this opportunity I felt a
peace about it and knew this is the right move for me though. Thank
you again for ALL YOUR SUPPORT during my race and thank you in
advance for your support with this adventure! God bless you!
a very Merry Christmas and a blessed new year!
