We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
OH goodness…where to even begin. Ever since I first thought about going on the World Race not a day has gone by that I don’t wonder what it will be like. What I will see, what I will experience, who I will meet, how I will be changed…
I expect to be completely in AWE daily with what God will show me. I expect that through this experience I will learn more about myself and better understand what RELYING ON GOD truly means. I expect to learn how to love on HIS terms, not my own. I expect to be stretched in ways I never have before. I expect tears, I expect laughter, I expect to create lasting memories. I expect to miss my family and friends terribly and in missing them, I expect to learn to appreciate them that much more. I expect that I will be reminded of how truly “charmed” my life has really been so far and that I will better understand getting back to the basics when I return. I expect to create lasting friendships during this journey with my team members and create a bond unlike any other. I know that each member of this team was hand picked by God and I expect that we each will bring something different to the table and we will teach each other new things.
Lastly, I expect God to do AMAZING things in me and through me and I’m SUPER excited!
