Hi Friends!
My name is Lauren and I am from Brighton, MI. I recently celebrated my golden birthday (25 on the 25th). I love having a good time, but who doesn’t? I love coffee and meeting with friends over coffee. I enjoy riding my bike in the summer and skiing the slopes in the winter. I love to jazzercise with friends–yes, that’s right. I also enjoy reading a good book, listening to music–or being introduced to a new artist!

I have very supportive parents, Tom and Debby and a brother, Andrew (20). God decided to give me two best friends, Nellie and Iris instead of sisters. God has always blessed me by surrounding me by encouraging, strong people who have really been a light in my life.

Although I grew up in Brighton, MI,  I currently reside in a little town called Spring Arbor, MI, where I work as an Admissions Representative for Spring Arbor University. I love my job! I work with students, recruiting them to attend SAU. It truly has been a rewarding experience to work at Spring Arbor and I won’t soon forget it.

I graduated from Spring Arbor in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Communications, focusing on Advertising and Public Relations. Some of my greatest and cherished friendships I have were made during my years at the Arbor. I was also given some amazing opportunities through Spring Arbor, including spending three weeks in South Africa the summer before my senior year and spending two weeks in England during my senior year.

Combining missions with travel is a HUGE passion
of mine–hence joining the January 2010 World Race Team. I have been to
Mexico
five times,
Puerto Rico once,
and several other mission trips within the
United
States
. Last year my Aunt
and I traveled to
Chennai, INDIA
for one week to work with an orphanage.
India
was such an amazing experience.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a part of the January 2010 World Race Team! God is going to do some amazing things–and I can’t wait to find out what they are! I also look forward to the lasting friendships that will be made along this journey!
BLESSINGS!!!
