I AM FULLY FUNDED.
I can’t believe I just typed that.
It seems like it was only yesterday that I was staring at the intimidating checklist of “this-is-what-you-must-do-to-be-a-Racer”. It seemed overwhelming. The significant number of $16,285 bore through to my very soul. I have to raise how much?!? Questions flooded in: how am I supposed to do this? who could possibly want to give me money? why would anyone care enough about me to give me money?
You know what my problem was? Me. I thought it was all about what I had to do. The funds I had to raise, the people I had to convince to send money towards this amazing opportunity.
But it was never about me. This Race I am on was never and is never about what I can and cannot do.
I didn’t raise these funds; Jesus did. I didn’t convince people to send me money; Jesus did that. He entered the hearts of individuals and motivated them to give. It is, and forever will be about Jesus.
He is the reason I am on the World Race. I am not traveling to 11 countries for crazy adventure and amazing stories to tell my grandchildren in my old age. It just so happens those are happening along the way.
I am running this race to bring His light to the darkness. I am sent to make His name known to peoples and nations who do not know of His righteousness and love. I have been given this opportunity from Him so that I may give others an opportunity to spend eternity with Him.
When I look back at January, when 250 of us Racers launched, it blows my mind to think that Jesus was in the process of raising more than 4 million dollars for us to go. 4 MILLION!! Money is absolutely no issue to Him; it all belongs to Him anyways! Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, to everyone who gave their time, support, finances, and love to this journey. I am blessed to partner alongside you, and I couldn’t have done this without you!
