The burden of loving those who love you less, is that the less they love you, the more you have to love them. How it must feel to God, actually loving EVERYONE, with an unending love, so that the more they reject you, the more love you give them, because your love for them makes you want still better for them, than the hurt their rebellion inflicts you. The only answer to any agressor is love, because its the only remedy for your pain, as well as your only all powerful weapon. to fight back with anything else, no matter its measurable power, or apparent strength is FOOLISH and dangerous.
We are called to love because He loves us. God’s love isn’t just for us to share, but to be filled in and drank from in abundance. We cannot forget to relish in His love, as we share and live in it. Rather than a funnel, we are like sponges, we must first absorb His love before we can leave any remnant of it.
