Hey everyone!!!Just shooting you an update about a few things.
1. Training Camp was AWESOME!!! I spent 10 days in Gainesville, Georgia bonding with my squad that I will be doing ministry and spending the next year of my life with. We meshed so well, and had a blast doing pretty much everything together; team building games, worship, squad wars, sleeping and eating, etc.. One particular night we were sent into the woods with some food, 3 tarps and some rope in the pouring rain. It was so cold and getting dark, and we had to erect a tent large enough to fit 50+ people. When the tent was finally up, all of us huddled inside, relying on one another for body heat and positive attitudes the whole night. There were moments where we worshipped and moments where we cried hoping it was some kind of sick joke.. hahaha. Needless to say, spooning saves lives. We all made it out alive and became better friends and teammates because of it. I also had the privilege to meet my leaders, mentors and coaches who are great, seasoned Christians whom of which most are alumni of the World Race program.
2. THANK YOU EVERYONE who came out to the Chik-fil-A fundraiser to support me!!! We had a pretty good turnout and raised about $120 dollars. I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with everyone!
3. OMG! I leave in 2 weeks!!! June 28 I head back down to Georgia to meet up with my squad and leaders so that we can launch out of the country on July 1 to our first destination, Albania. I’m super excited to be in the will of God on this adventure with Him and my brothers and sisters in Christ, serving and ministering to the people. I am also pumped to learn and grow as we live daily Albanian life with the people.
4. PTL!!! I have met my next deadline early – $7,500 by June 17. My current funds in are at $8,970!!! The LORD has been providing funds for this trip in such crazy ways through people I know, barely know, and some of which I don’t know at all. It has been such a blessing and humbling journey to partner with the LORD and with all of you thus far on this adventure and I haven’t even left the country yet. THANK YOU for your generous contributions and prayer!!! There is still $7,307 to be raised so please consider giving a monthly donation and sharing with friends and family that would also be willing to partner with me in having an eternal impact on the kingdom of God. 1. I have a doctors appointment June 22 to have the physician release form signed for the trip. Please prayer for Health and wellness as well as favor to finally have this paper signed.
