Unsung Heroes Ministries
As part of our ministry this month in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, my team and I will be highlighting in our blogs the ministries that God brings across our path. The goal is to share more about them with our supporters so that more people are aware of what God is doing here and how lives are being impacted for Christ! Each blog will feature 1 or 2 ministries.

Highlighted Ministry: Cambodia New Generation (http://cambodiannewgeneration.org/index.htm, on facebook: CNG ORG)
“Hey you should get a hold of these two guys in Cambodia…..Jack & Pastor Pete with Cambodia New Generation” one of my squad mates Jessica shared with me over the phone, to which I said “Sure!”. See my team and I this month have been researching and networking with others to discover new ministries that are furthering the good news of Jesus Christ here in Phnom Penh and Cambodia. We say ‘new’ ministries because Adventures in Missions, our sending organization, already partners with many ministries here in Cambodia, so our ministry this month is to find new ones.
So Kayla, my teammate and partner in ministry this month, took the leads we were given and found more information about Cambodian New Generation (CNG). Not only that, but we met up with Jock and Pastor Pete at their ministry location here in Phnom Penh. Here is an idea of how they are reaching others for Christ HERE (Phnom Penh), NEAR (provinces & country) and FAR (world):

HERE: Local community
New Generation Church is the central hub for the outreach CNG does with the community. Aside from church on Sunday’s they provide English classes daily when children are finished with school, computer training, Bible study, worship and prayer time, and other activities like dance and martial arts.

On our visit to the church, Kayla and I had an opportunity to interact with the kids and help them with their English. What a great time this was – the kids were just drawn to us and showered us with love and kindness even in our short visit!
NEAR: Cambodian Pastors & churches
CNG also reaches out to and supports Cambodian pastors in the surrounding communities. They provide leadership training and additional support for their church. Their heart is to see churches thriving and reaching their communities for Christ.
FAR: Provinces throughout Cambodia & the World
In their partnership with Warm Blankets International (based in Illinois – http://www.warmblankets.org/) many youth from the church have been abroad, meeting and worshipping along side the body of Christ in other countries. Such a neat opportunity for these children to experience life outside of their own country.
How great it is to see children and young adults being loved on and cared for through this ministry – and to see them in turn serving others and worshipping God. CNG is reaching lives for Christ here in Phnom Penh.

We are thankful that the Lord crossed our paths with Jack and Pastor Pete! We look forward to seeing how God uses future World Race teams here at this ministry!
