Welcome to my blog!

Hello! My name is Lauren Louise Burns – however, most just call me Louise 🙂

Here’s a little peak into my beautifully crazy life: I am originally from Tipp City, Ohio – however I am currently residing in Athens, Ohio. During my freshman year of college at Ohio University, I fell in love with the Lord and my life has not been the same since. Currently, I am finishing my last year at OU studying Community Health Services and Environmental Health Sciences. I have a passion for the underprivileged and a yearning to serve. I love the adventure of life and the Lord, family, and friends keep me loving and laughing through it all.

The purpose of this blog is to keep readers up to date on my preparation and the 11 months during my World Race missionary trip. If you are reading this and have no clue what the World Race is, like many of my friends and peers, let me fill you in! The World Race is not The Amazing Race TV show – so many of my friends and family ask when I will be on TV haha

The World Race is not only an 11 month long mission trip where each of the 11 months I will be located in a different country across the globe, it is a journey where I will be serving  the “least of these” ( Mathew 25:31-40)  for the Kingdom of the Lord. During my time on the World Race I will be a part of an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. My team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local villages and communities to share the Gospel, plant churches, serve in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking , and bring hope as well as the Lord’s love to many tribes and nations of the world, as we are called to do.

As I prepare for this incredible opportunity, I can only hope that you will continue to be a part of this adventure with me! All of your prayers, words of encouragement, and financial support would only help make this journey possible. Continuous prayers and support are the best things ever!

Thank you for all the support!

Love,
Louise
