Howdy!
My name is Lauren Lognion, I am an almost graduate of Texas A&M University (long story)
I am a Recreation Parks and Tourism Science major with a minor in Business and truly loved my four years at Texas A&M. The professors, friends (who became more like family) and many organizations each taught me more than I could have imagined!
I am 22 and the oldest of three, my younger brother, Mark, is 21 and younger sister, Reagan, almost 19. They have each become amazing young people and I have loved watching them develop into their true self. Obviously, we don't agree at all times, but my family is God’s greatest gift to me and have blessed me so much. My parents, Mark and Debbie, back the three of us in everything we do and have always encouraged us to chase our dreams. Having my parents support has really allowed me to take chances and and go off track to experience all that life has to offer.
I currently live in Washington D.C. and intern in the Congressional office for Rep. Louie Gohmert. My time here has been wonderful! There is always something going on, plenty of museums to visit and sights to see. I am here as part of an internship program through Texas A&M with 29 other Aggies, all living in the same apartment complex, so much of the time I feel as if I am part of a larger version of The Real World. I have learned a great deal interning on The Hill and gained first hand experience of the hard work and long hours it takes to make a change in the country. As wonderful as this opportunity has been I am excited to start my next adventure which actually is not the World Race..
Before I head off around the World I will be moving to Florida to work for the Wonderful World of Disney. As part of the Disney College Program, I will be a recreational leader working at one of the many Disney resorts in Orlando, Florida.
God has an amazing plan for each of us, and for some reason I am always surprised how his timing works just perfectly. You see.. I will be finishing my internship in D.C. in early December, headed to College Station to take my last college course, moving to Lufkin for the Holidays and then leaving in January to work for Disney which comes to an end just in time for the World Race Training Camp. God is Great!! The life he has given me is far better than anything I could have put together on my own.

I wish I were better with words but, none the less, I am exited about the upcoming changes in my life and hope you find my journey as interesting as I do..
