Wow. This month has been really good so far. I am in Honduras at a ministry called Zion’s Gate. It’s one big family here.

Tony and his wife moved into this facility a few years ago. Tony had begun going into an area in the city of Tegucigalpa called Los Pinos a couple years before. He would go hang out with the kids at the dumpsters. These children were sent to dig for recyclables each day by their parents. As they worked they would be getting high on paint thinner. Tony would go in with chickens and break off pieces and feed them. He would keep going a few times a week and getting to know each of them. Fast forward to today, he now has boys and girls he met back then here living at his home. It has given the ones who want a change a chance for a better life.

Tony disciples by living as an example and getting them plugged into different ministries. Even if they don’t believe in God, they get a chance to explore their faith here and meet many people who are following the Lord.

Our whole squad is together this month and we are sleeping in our tents all around the property. They get many World Race teams here each year. I love the way life is here. It’s nice to have my own space in my tent, a place to be alone but mostly just for sleeping at night.

Last week my team worked on making a garden here at Zion’s Gate. Tony has a vision of this becoming like a park, a place for families to come and enjoy time together. He wants to have different garden areas around a few big trees and also to have painted rocks everywhere. We were digging and digging for four days last week and found big rocks in the ground. They are going to use the huge rocks to make tables and chairs with for people to relax on. The other smaller rocks are put up as a wall around the property. Once each rock is individually painted uniquely by different people it will be really beautiful.

Tony also plans to have a football field here in the future. This month they are planning to put in big lights to light up the area for the teens to play soccer untill they raise the funds for the legit field.
There are so many ministries going on here at Zion’s Gate and outside at other places that Tony has been plugging us into.

My team and I were at Gracie’s for the past few days. It’s a home that takes in girls who have been raped and gotten pregnant or in sex trafficking. They come from dark backgrounds. It was so amazing to see where God has brought these girls out of.
These girls, the youngest being 13 years old are such good mothers. They love and care for their little babies each day along with being homeschooled. This is a safe place for them. They don’t have to be afraid of being harmed.

I really enjoyed my time at Gracie’s being able to watch the babies and to play with the toddlers that also live there. There are also 3 kids with Cerebral Palsy. It was hard hearing the stories of each child and Teen that is there but also so good to see the impact Gracie has made on their lives.
