Dear Fellow Believers,
My name is Lauren Laubach and I am a 22 year old college graduate from Slippery Rock University. Throughout my life I have been passionate about helping others and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. This summer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to join a team of Christians and embark on an 11 month mission trip around the world called The World Race. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into a specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
God has put it on my heart to go on this trip, not only to serve others but, to dedicate a year of my life to fully seeking Him and letting Him mold my heart and mind to fulfill the purpose that He has for my life. During this mission trip, I will be traveling to a different country each month. My hope is that I will be able to adapt to each culture and that God would give me the words and the wisdom to reach out to touch people’s hearts and leave a lasting impact on their lives.
As I am preparing for this trip, as well as throughout the trip, I would appreciate any and all support through prayer. I will be keeping an online blog each week throughout the trip for supporters to follow and keep updated on how God is working through me and my team in each country (laurenlaubach.theworldrace.org). As with any lengthy trip abroad, there will be financial expenses that I will need to cover. If God lays it on your heart to support this particular calling that He has put on my life, I would greatly appreciate any monetary donations. I will be leaving to start this eleven month journey in July. The total cost of the trip is $16,500 and I will need to raise $7,500 before I leave to start the trip in July.
