Summer Update:
July already!? I cannot believe how fast the summer is going by! In May, I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I have been living in Ohio since graduation. The summer has been filled with great memories with friends and family. I have been in four weddings this summer! It has been a huge blessing to be able to watch my close friends get married before leaving for eleven months. These are memories I know I will cherish and appreciate while on the race.
Fundraising Update:
Since Christmas, I have been selling homemade elastic hair ties which represent the continents I will be traveling to on the race. I have made around $2,000.00 from selling them. During the school year my friend and I, Andrew Hunt, who is also going on the World Race, did a t-shirt fundraiser together. We designed a shirt with our college name on it and received a lot of support from our friends at school. We made over $2,000.00 towards our trips, so we each received over $1,000.00. We were blown away that we raised that much money just from a t-shirt fundraiser. We are still selling them for $20.00 if you would like to purchase one-just email me!
I had a fundraising garage sale in July that was beyond my expectations. Thanks to many friends and family donating their time, items, and support, I raised over $2,000.00! It was humbling and encouraging experiencing the generosity of so many people. It would not have been possible without their help and support. Thank you to everyone who contributed!! In addition, I partnered with a local Chick-fil-A for fundraiser in June and earned $300.00 towards my trip.
Route Update:
The countries on my route have changed! In addition to Africa and Asia, I will now get to experience India and Latin America. I am excited to share with you a list of my new route!

Training Camp:
This Saturday, July 19th, I will begin training camp for the World Race in Gainesville, GA. I will bring all of my equipment I will be taking on the World Race, sleeping in my tent, and living life as a racer for seven days. I will be meeting my squad mates for the first time! There are fifty-five people in my squad right now. I am expecting to be challenged, stretched of my comfort zone, and grow close to my squad mates and God throughout the week.
