On January 31, 2015, I truly felt the call of God to “GO!” and that was all I heard from Him at the time. I kept it to myself, my best friend and one of my youth leaders for a little while and continued to pray over whether or not this is where the Lord was truly leading me…and I kept hearing “GO!”
I felt such a need to share this and to follow through with it, that I finally brought it up with more people and asked for prayer. That prayer was officially answered on September 22, 2015, when I was accepted to the World Race Gap Year program through Adventures in Missions! Not even 9 months after I felt Jesus speak into my heart about this, He was making my way so very clear through this organization and the people He was continuing to place in my life.
Here it goes! I will OFFICIALLY be going to the Balkans region, South Africa, and the Philippines for 3 months each, for a total of 9 months, from August 2016 to May 2017.
AHHHHH!!!!! Praise Him, praise Him, PRAISE HIM!!
So, here it is. My first blog post as a “World Racer” and I have to say, this is one of the most surreal and exciting moments of my entire life. I am so excited for the next step that Jesus has for me, and I am so confident that the next step for me starts here.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this and helped to get me to this point. I am a firm believer that Christ surrounds us with people that we need to get through this life, and believe me when I say that I am truly grateful for each and everyone of you who has or will support me through this process, whether it’s through financial support or through prayer.
Jesus told His disciples to… “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Jesus told us, therefore, I am GOING!
