A fellow squadmate challenged all of us to come up with 100 things about ourselves so that we could get to know each other better. It was a challenge to come up with but they have been so fun to read!

Here are my 100 things:

1. I love the Lord with all my heart and daily strive to be more like Him. Daily I fall short.

2. I have the best community you could ask for.

3. I have an incredible family that I am proud of.

4. I love babies and children more than one should. They bring me joy.

5. I love people with special needs, they are the epitome of joy as God intended.

6. I used to pray to have a child with downs syndrome. People told me this was inappropriate, so I stopped praying for it. Now I’m praying about adopting one.

7. I would love to adopt an African child…or 2…or 100.

8. A list of things that drive me mental: traffic, lines, waterproof mascara, things between my toes, the smell when you blow out a candle, coconut, among others.

9. Most of the decisions in my life have been driven by fear rather than the passion the Lord has given me…I’m working on changing that.

10. I still sleep with my childhood blanket…not out of necessity…but if there were a fire, I’d save it.

11. I love pictures, they freeze beautiful moments in time.

12. I have limited athletic ability, but I enjoy running even though I’m bad at it.

13. I am a control freak, but am breaking free of that.

14. I used to be pretty OCD, but I’m also breaking free of that…maybe a little too much, as my room is always messy and I’m typically late now.

15. I am an extrovert and love being around people, but also need time to myself.

16. I am independent.

17. I love teenage girls, hence being a YoungLife leader and working in an adolescent girls home.

18. I don’t eat green or yellow candies or gummies.

19. I always have a glass of water by my bed.

20. I rarely cry, but 8 out of 10 times I will cry when people are applauding, especially after the National Anthem.

21. I love music. I always have it on. If it’s not on, I can be found singing or humming to make up for it.

22. I believe each person is beautiful and fascinating. Each has their own story and I love piecing them together.

23. I am addicted to coffee.

24. I can burp louder than most boys.

25. I am easily stressed out, but work well under pressure. Hence the reason I am a procrastinator.

26. I don’t know what I want to be when I “grow up,” but I have some things stirring that I’m excited for the Lord to ignite.

27. One of my biggest fears is dying from having my breathing restricted.

28. I love to read.

29. I am learning to listen more than I speak.

30. I enjoy good quotes.

31. I enjoy cooking and baking with and for people I love.

32. I love sharing good music with people.

33. I wear sandals all year long, I hate having my feet constricted…I prefer to be barefoot.

34. Sometimes I dance or do high kicks when I get nervous or when I’m happy.

35. I’m learning the importance of apologizing easily and often.

36. I have never broken a bone. I have gotten stitches once.

37. On most days you can find me driving faster than the speed limit.

38. I sweat constantly, that’s just a fact you should know about me.

39. I used to play the violin when I was younger, turns out I’m not very good.

40. I have a brother who has a secret job. Don’t ask. If I told you I’d have to kill you.

41. I am happy with my feet in the ocean or sitting in front of an indoor fire.

42. In summer I order a sweetened Green Tea Apple Juice from Starbucks or iced Caramel Macchiatos. In winter I prefer Gingerbread Lattes.

43. My favorite color is mint green.

44. I choose gelato over ice cream any day. My gelato of choice is Salted Caramel.

45. I currently have 2 roommates. One is my best friend of 15 years. The other I met this year and have been incredibly blessed by her.

46. My dad is Mr. Nickname. So because of this I prefer nicknames. Your parents were wrong when they named you. Don’t be surprised if I call you something else.

47. I am Mary Poppins, ask me for anything and I’ll pull it out of my purse.

48. I tend to over-pack. I must break this habit before the World Race.

49. Every summer my family would take a trip to Coronado Island in California. It is one of my happy places.

50. I love Spanish. I can speak un poquito.

51. I can name all 50 states in alphabetical order. However, this can only be accomplished if I sing the “ 50 Nifty United States” song.

52. Traveling around the World doesn’t scare me, however you will never convince me to jump out of plane.

53. I never eat breakfast.

54. I typically change into comfy clothes within 10 minute of being home.

55. I am fascinated by other cultures.

56. I can memorize things best if I make them into a song or use dramatic hand movements while memorizing them.

57. I enjoy journaling.

58. I hate disappointing people.

59. I have made many mistakes in my life. Living for the Lord will never be one of them.

60.  I write with my left hand, but do most other things with my right hand.

61. I love making lists so I can cross them off and feel accomplished. Sometimes I write things I’ve already done just to cross them off.

62. I know a lot of things about people via social media. Some call it stalking, but I call it interested. You wouldn’t put it online if you didn’t want people to see it.

63. My primary language is sass and sarcasm.

64. My love languages are words of affirmation and physical touch.

65. I can tell a lot about people by their handshakes and hugs.

66. My favorite soda is Dr. Pepper.

67. I don’t like giving gifts for holidays. I like giving them when they’re unexpected.

68. My eyes change colors depending on what I’m wearing.

69. My favorite number is 3.

70. I did choir from 3rd grade- sophomore year in high school. I gave it up for Student Council to try something different.

71. I love watching the looks on people’s faces when they’re doing something they’re passionate about.

72.  I love the smell of books.

73. I am 5’9¾ ”

74. I have taken classes at 3 community colleges and 1 university.

75. My favorite flowers are sunflowers.

76. My favorite shows are Grey’s Anatomy, New Girl and Chopped.

77. I love the smell of fresh laundry.

78. Sunsets are one of my favorite things ever.

79. I am a 4th generation native Arizonan.

80.  I would choose a Mac over a PC any day.

81. The most fascinating thing to me is learning about the human body. I could do it all day.

82. I am the youngest, and have 2 awesome older brothers and a sweet sister-in-law.

83. I have zero dancing skills.

84. I never set my alarm clock to even numbers. For example: it’s currently set to 6:01am.

85. I could eat pizza everyday and never get sick of it.

86. I love going grocery shopping.

87. I love sitting by myself on the patio at AJs to read a book or people watch.

88. I do not like cats.

89. I have dyed my hair more times than I can count.

90. I see the effects of sin and the redemption of the Lord everyday at my job.

91. If you asked me last year where my life would be right now, it would look nothing like it does. I am blessed to be where I am though.

92. I shower everyday. This will be a change in the next year.

93. The two things people first notice about me, are my eyelashes and my perfume/lotion scent.

94. I’m only 22 and already have vision, back, hip, and digestive problems.

95. I enjoying reading blogs.

96. Rwanda, Africa is the most peaceful place I’ve ever been.

97. I have been to 10 of the 50 states in the U.S.

98. I have a limited sense of direction.

99. This list was challenging.

100. I am both anxious and ecstatic for July 2012 to roll around w/ my WR friends. smiley
