Counting Change, Counting My Blessings
For the past couple of days I have been riding pretty dirty. Actually, no, I've been riding in the presence of God. I've been riding on empty and God has performed a miracle on my car. I've been scrounging for change to put a couple of dollars in my car here and there but I mean really… my car should be on the side of the road by now. That's ok though because this is my testimony that money doesn't bring happiness. Jesus does!!! I could've pulled my hair out the last couple of days; but now I just can't help but laugh! God is merely teaching me something, I just haven't figured it out yet! I'm just trying to listen and ride out this season with him on E!
Even though my Bank of America account has dwindled down to nothing People are starting to send money to my World Race account! Thank you so much! God has led you to support me and that is what gets me through the stress of scrounging for gas money to get to work! Also, a big shout out to my best friends, Aby Martin for "treating my feet" and Allison Swinson for buying me lunch! Lifetime friends who love and support you is a blessing that I haven't thanked God enough for!
This is normally what I look like when I see someone has sent encouragement or that you have supported my trip…
I would rather ride a bike to work and have people with hearts like you helping me any day than living the good life in my Bank of America account! I would rather scrounge for change all 11 months of this journey and look into my World Race account and find that I have met all of my deadlines! This trip and sharing God's love means more to me than any possession of mine! With that being said, I will sale my whole life to take me where God wants me! I wouldn't want to see all of my things go but If it came down to it I would! The best part about it all is I've been asking God if he wants me to do that lately and I've thought of the most creative fundraising ideas this week! Seriously, one after another! I thought it could've been that I didn't want to sell my things so badly that I was forced to think of all these creative things… but then I looked up and said "Thank you omnipresent and omnipotent God… thank you for the motivations you give me and for helping me think Your thoughts."
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye." — Psalms 32: 8
I know so many of you that are passionate about helping me with this trip. I am truly blessed and have faith that God will continue to provide for this trip, but the thought is still not clearly answered yet.
I'm here patiently waiting for Jesus. If he wants me to sale all my possessions, that's what I'll do.
(haha) —–> For now, I will be fundraising aggressively, all while making His name known….
