It doesn’t seem right for another month to be down and now
we only have 2 months left. This month was a month to love and care for the
little ones in Swaziland. We worked with Charmin the owner of EL Shaddai. This
place was surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. We had spectacular view of
the sunset over the mountains.
The first week there I helped with cleaning out a storage
closet in the Baby House. It was full of clothes, shoes, craft supplies, and
other miscellaneous stuff. It was an interesting task that took a week to do.
We also were able to love on the little kids each day. I
fell in love with the little kids. There was a little boy name Bashley that
really stole my heart. When he saw me come into a room he would run and jump in
my arms. I wanted to bring him with me in my backpack. You can see the pictures

While at the orphanage we learned how to become fire
fighters. We had two fires happen while there. One of the fires came right to
our building where we were staying. It definitely was a moment where we had to
trust that God was going to protect us. He definitely protects us, our belongings,
the children, and El Shaddai. You do not have the luxury of fire fighters on
top of mountain in Africa; you use green limbs and beat the fire down.
After the fire we helped with the cleanup of what was
damaged. We had to rebuild several fences to repost. I felt like I was back on
the farm at home. It brought back a lot of precious memories I had with my Dad
and Pa.
I also had the privilege of working alongside of Andrew in
painting a mural at the orphanage. It was huge wall that we painted that took a
lot of our time. It was designed by Andrew. What a neat way to be able to give
something to the orphanage.
Our contact took us one day on a Safari through the Kruger
National Park. It was a great day to be able to spend time with her and to see
all the animals. It was successful day we were able to see a lion, giraffe,
zebra, elephant, rhino, and so much more.
It was great month to love on the children. We even baked
cookies during team time; it was a lot of fun. Now we are
here in Ukraine for month 10 of the World Race.
