“And maybe it doesn’t matter..
Maybe it doesn’t matter that they won’t get to eat this week.
Maybe it doesn’t matter that they don’t know how to be loved.
Maybe it doesn’t matter that a single mission can’t ameliorate their worlds entirely.
Maybe it doesn’t matter that money is the source of so much of their pain.
Maybe it doesn’t matter that they are hopeless and in such a desolate state.
Maybe it doesn’t matter that not everyone will understand, not everyone will approve, and not everyone will be touched.
But maybe.. just maybe… changing one person’s world matters enough to cover for all of the ‘not mattering’.
Isn’t everything worth it if you’re given the ability to help even one single person? One single soul?
Isn’t it enough to love one person with an unconditional love?
Maybe we don’t have to change the whole world all at once, but why not change one person’s world or one school or one town?
Because when these all add up, do you know what happens? You end up changing the world.” -LR 3.8.17

I hope that you don’t feel like my “Excerpt from a Book I’ll Never Write..” was only talking about the World Race. It’s talking about an everyday, ordinary, plain life. It’s talking about the opportunities that we all face everyday that we can show love during. It most definitely applies to the Race for me, but I hope that it applies to your life as well.
I am so excited that Christ is providing for this mission trip, and I hope that He will use me to change even just one person’s world while I’m serving. A little more funding to go (and a lot of preparation), then it’s GO TIME!
Love,
