Hello! I am alive and well in China…
My team is in a new city!! A city that is rich in history, full of local food venders, and plenty of trendy shopping plazas with Chin-lish (Chinese-English) graphic tee shirts!
Yesterday, I was on a morning jog… I love working out in the mornings since there is less city commotion and the heat is mostly tamed, there is this calming peace as the city arises here in the mornings. On my jog I prayed for the people of China. I prayed that there will be a break through of the lies that the Chinese believe about themselves, I prayed that there would be people strategically placed here to bring new hope and revelation to the local people groups. As I was running, a straight line of police men passed by and one smiled at me, a genuine smile that carried with me the rest of the day. I realized there is hope.. there is hope in the yet unseen.
What hope? China is corrupt, there is not hope for the people here, they are on lock down. Cameras everywhere. People cannot experience freedoms here. I have heard countless stories from locals that make my heart ache.
What I can share with you now is…. God is at work in China! I have experienced it first hand. New friendships, people asking questions, doors opening, new life occurring. I’d love to share more specifics but for the safety and protection of everyone involved I will refrain for now. My heart has been in a place of expectancy, my heart has been radically shook for kingdom to come, for atmospheres to change in his name!
My team was recently told that we carry ” Li Hai” which translates to “strong”. I am surrounded by a team of women who exudes strength. They challenge and push me daily to step and grow into who God has called me to be. They show resilience despite daily obstacles and hardships. They are women of character and integrity and I am honored to serve along side each one of them.
There is hope. We get to see a glimpse of that hope. What a gift. Thank you Jesus for being present here in China. Thank you for having the opportunity to give the hope we have in your name.
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
