Hello Hello!

I am back, and excited to share whats been on my mind and heart the past month in taking on preparation for WR.

There has been so many emotions rolling around these past few weeks. The initial joy and excitement of acceptance into world missions is still there, but clouded with thoughts of, “is this really going to work?” “am I really going to leave everything here in America?”

I continue to be challenged with doubtful thoughts, but I also feel this humble confidence that God is on my side, that he is doing his work behind the scenes, and trust is always the best route to travel on. Do I know exactly how everything will pan out and exactly how life will look in the next eight months or even after the world race. That’s a hard no at this point. BUT I do know that I serve a miracle working God, and that nothing, absolutely nothing can stop his will.

Let’s chat fundraising for a sec. Is it fun? Can be. If any of you have taken the color personality test, I am an ORANGE! Which basically means I am a “big ideas person” I enjoy the lime light. I have a bold personality with big dreams and goals! But all the planning or execuation? Well there is some room for improvement there. haha Is it overwhelming? Heck yes! Asking people for large or small amounts of money is intimating and can be embarassing. At times, I think; people are going to think I am using them! Or people are going to unfollow me on social media because I am a nuisance.

Let’s be honest, whether this is the case or not, it cannot and will not stop my persistence! For we are not put on this earth to please man, but to please our Father in heaven! I know that the work of fundraising now will glorify the kingdom down the road and that gives me passion! I encourage you today to ask yourself,

“Do my actions or my time reflect glory to this temporary earth or to the eternal kingdom of heaven?”

As I sit in a cozy, local coffee shop writing this note, I can announce a new perspective on fundraising and simply in day to day living. Seek God, everyday. Ask him to show you the passions on your heart. Are they passions for the kingdom? Don’t allow negative self thoughts or others opinions stop you from pursuing those passions! Don’t feel equipped or ready? No problem, God will certainly take care of you every step of the way.

I leave you with this quote:

“A great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.”

– John C. Maxwell

As I continue to pursue my passion, I will take on fundraising in a new light! What is your passion?! Tell me more in the comments below!

May God call out your passions, and may nothing stop you from exceeding God’s will for you!
