I started one of my days today thinking I would be climbing a mountain with materials to build a house, but then our bus pulled in to a village and our translator said he wanted us to evangelize in this village that had not been visited by World Racers before. Suddenly I had to change my mindset from ready to do construction to play in a schoolyard with kids. Everyday in the World Race is different you think one day you will be doing one thing but then next thing you know you are at a school and little one crawls into your lap and you rock her to sleep. The unexpected is the best part of the World Race. Never try to plan the day or be in a certain mindset of doing something because a part of being a World Racer is to expect the unexpected. No matter if you are told you doing something, it will change and the Holy Spirit will take over and lead you to where God wants you most. Sunday’s are by far my favorite. We begin our day eating breakfast together like every other day, but then we go and attend a church service. Unlike church at home, service is not just a forty-five minute to an hour service, but a glorious two and half hour pure dedication to the Lord and the people who love the Lord. At home I would be guilty of struggling to sometimes dedicate an hour of my day to Jesus and here I am dedicated more than just two hours. This is something I will be taking home with me after the race. I want my life wrapped around the Glory of the Lord, because it is so much brighter, happier, and joyous. Haiti within these two weeks has taught me so much. I have learned how to hear God in silence. I have learned how God wants to use me in helping others, and I have learned to just trust and look to the Holy Spirit to guide me to where I am needed most. Here in Haiti knowing what we are doing for ministerey is a mystery, but the Lord will lead where He wants you most, and where He wants you most is your safety, your peace, and your success.

“Keep the mandate of the Lord, your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees as they are written in the Law os Moses, that you may succeed in whatever you do, and wherever you turn.”

1 Kings 2:3

“he said,”Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in Heaven above or on earth below; you keep covenant and love toward your servants who walk before you with their whole heart.””
