A letter to future racers
I thought coming on the race I was prepared for what I was embarking on. I thought coming on the race I was fully confident in who I was and where I was going. There is no amount of training, no amount of pictures, blogs, and social media accounts that you can go through that will fully prepare you for what your heart, body, and mind will go through on the race. It’s okay to not be prepared, it’s okay because it’s not up to anyone to be prepared for your journey with the Lord and what He has for you.
It’s okay to not be prepared because this journey is all about trusting in Him and all He has for you. I am sitting here today a different person than month one. I am sitting here today with a new look and refreshed heart on what it means to give up my life at home to commit to serving the Lord.
I am sitting here today wanting to tell you do not be afraid of being unprepared and the unknown. I am sitting here today confident in my identity, as to where I am to go and what it is am to do, I do not need to know only trust. For those thinking about the race, preparing for training camp, and those preparing for launch take each day and live it fully embracing all God has for you. One day you will be blinking and your about to go into month six of your race.
I have been blessed with an amazing six months on the field and my journey has been amazing in ways I never thought possible, and I couldn’t be more excited for these next five months that I have left because I am trusting and He is blessing me with an abundance of His glory.
