I am Not Married

Wearing toe rings has always been a thing for me, so before the race and coming on the race I had my toe rings on my second toe. Here in India having a toe ring on your second toe means you are married. Going out to the villages many people would ask me if I was married.

My response at first was no, but then I would say I am married to the Lord. My vow and my unity is with the Lord so yes currently in my life I am married to the Lord. Their reaction to me saying this was surprising, it was like they were joyful to know my relationship with the Lord was that strong.

One night I did take my toe rings off and I did miss the ice breaker of my toe rings. I put them back on no matter where we went for ministry I would get asked about them, but it wasn’t something that took away from ministry but added to it. My heart, my relationship, my connection with the Lord is as strong as marriage is. In addition to the strength of my relationship the continuous growth of my relationship is like a marriage.

I can share this simply by telling the people I am not married currently in my life, I am married to the Lord and giving Him my heart so that my future husband seeks the Lord in the time the Lord introduces me to the man He wants to share my heart with.

My toe rings are three separate rings, there is the middle ring, which represents my Heavenly Father. There are two rings on opposite sides of the middle ring, one represents the Son and the other reprints the Holy Spirit.

Getting asked if you are married and telling people no I am not was a different experience. Within that experience getting to explain how much love, depth, and trust that is within my relationship with God was such a light.
