A few weeks ago I got the idea to interview my squad members as a way to introduce those who are close to me to the people I will be serving with for a year, and I immediately got excited about the idea! So this is the start of a new little blog series where I’ll post about 3 interviews per blog post of each of my squad mates. I’ll also link their blogs so y’all can read more into their hearts. I hope each of you who read these can enjoy getting to know a little bit about the W Squad.
1. Where are you from and how old are you?
“I am in Illinois at the moment, and I’m 21 years old.”
2. When did you become a Christian?
“I became a Christian when I was little, I but rededicated two years ago.”
3. What is one difficult thing you are proud to have overcome?
“Being out in the real world and not in a Christian environment, and overcoming the temptations that come with it.”
4. Why did you decide to join The World Race?
“God decided for me, actually.”
5. What are you passionate about?
“This is a hard one. I can be passionate about pretty much anything if I set my mind to it.”
6. What is your current life verse?
“Current life verse is Galatians 5:13, ‘For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.'”
7. What is one thing you want people to know about you?
“One thing people should know about me? I snore. Sorry, fellow racers.”

“I am 24 and I’m from Robert Lee, Texas. You probably haven’t heard of it.”
2. When did you become a Christian?
“I became a Christian when I was 15.”
3. What is one difficult thing you are proud to have overcome?
“Forgiving people. I’ve been hurt a lot and mostly by people in my family, so I learned not to trust and not to forgive. But with God, thankfully, that’s changed.”
4. Why did you decide to join The World Race?
“Once I heard about it, I just knew it was something I needed to do. it’s hard to explain and probably doesn’t make sense, but I just knew God wanted me here.”
5. What are you passionate about?
“People, I guess. I don’t really have hobbies or talents, I just love to be with people I am happy doing most things as long as it includes spending time with others.”
6. What is your current life verse?
“Psalm 30:11 and Matt 10:8 are the two I really cling to. The first is what God has already done for me, and the second is what I am expected to do because of it.”

7. What is one thing you want people to know about you?
“At any given moment, there is a 99% chance that I am joking.”

“I am from Florence, Alabama; I am 22 years old.”
2. When did you become a Christian?
“I became a Christian when I was 7 years old.”
3. What is one difficult thing you are proud to have overcome?
“I have overcome several things, but I’m proudest of overcoming the fear of stepping out of my comfort zone.”
4. Why did you decide to join The World Race?
“I looked at it my sophomore year of college and though there was no way I could do I since I needed to finish school, and it was so expensive. I remember praying at ONE retreat my senior year in October, and it became so clear that it was something I needed to do.”
5. What are you passionate about?
“I am passionate about helping others. I love missions and have for years.”
6. What is your current life verse?
“Isaiah 43:2. ‘As you go through deep waters, you will not drown.'”
7. What is one thing you want people to know about you?
“I have an identical twin and a pup named Potter.”
