We are officially in our fifth month, almost halfway done with the Race, in India!

Month five is bringing a lot of changes including a new year, a new team, and new weather (no more cold!). I am no longer on an all-girls team, but on a co-ed team for the next few months.

This month we are working with Covenant School of Worship (CSOW), a ministry whose goal is to equip worshippers to be disciples and make disciples, demonstrating the love of God to all. You can learn more about them here!

Our team is separated both in where we live and our ministry. The three girls are staying in one area and the guys are about thirty minutes away. During the day us girls go on prayer walks, meet women at the park, and visit people’s houses to pray for them. At night we go into the slums to play worship music, pray for people, and teach people about God and His love.

These past two weeks have really been a time of rest as well as a a time of pouring out into people through prayer. We stay at the location of the CSOW school and it is a place of peace where God’s spirit truly falls. Through this ministry I am learning worship is more than music and clapping on beat (or not on beat, if you’re me). I’m  beginning to see it is ultimately anything that brings glory to Our Father.
