It feels like months since I’ve posted. Currently I’m working really hard in the Dominican Republic, I’ve even developed a blister on my hand from shoveling so much dirt.

I’ll try to give you a quick rundown of life right now.

1. I love the mountains and I have the opportunity to wake up to an amazing vista every morning. We’re usually even awake to see the sunrise over the moutains!

2. I’ve gotten to participate in several different types of ministy, from manual labor, teaching English to adults and kids, and prayer walking.

3. There’s an amazing amount of rain here.

4. Sometimes when I put on my chemical free bug spray, I feel like I just put on perfume. And it makes me feel so good!

5. Thirty eight women are sharing one toilet.

6. Since there’s only one shower, we bathe ourselves in a waterfall.

7. I’m excited to sleep in my tent every night. No lie. I love my set up.

8. I hardly have internet access. This is basically the first time since the 6th I’ve had the oppotunity to be on the internet.

9. I saw myself in a mirror recently (this is a rare occurance) and I hardly recognized myself. I’m so tan and my hair is so long…and curly. What a strange thing.

10. I know there are a lot of you who have been faithful in writing me emails, and I can’t express how much I treasure those. Please bear with me as I keep trying to figure out a good system for responding. Sometimes all I can do is upload all the emails on my ipod when I have what I like to call “surprise wifi,” then read them later. Please keep sending the emails, they always brighten my day and make me feel so loved!

I love and treasure you all, thanks for continuing on this journey with me!
