Celebrating New Years' in Thailand was an experience of a lifetime (seeing as the only time I have stayed up to bring in the new year has been only when I have worked). No, it really was an incredible experience with a delicious Thai meal, a time of expressing one's thankfulness for the year gone by, fireside heart-to-heart discussions, a Thai comedy, games with prizes (food) and punishments (dancing), and of course, fireworks and paper lantern sendoffs. We celebrated the bringing in of year 2012 and 2055 (years since Buddha's enlightenment) with the girls, house parents and Remember Nhu missionaries. It was a great night, truly one to be remembered.
