A favor you say? What are you asking Laura?
I am asking that you take some time and read Psalm 27. Soak in it for a bit. It’s good. Real good.

This has been a big week for a team, a week of unscheduled plans, a week of Ask the Lord moments. It was a week we were called to more. I’m not going to get in to the whole story, all I’m going to say is that God met us. We sought God and He heard our cry and answered us. He sought our face, when we sought His. But do you know what that means? It means, “Though an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, still we must be confident.” We must trust and seek God in this time and ask Him to meet us in our weakness, where Satan takes a little step in and tries to steal some of what we have taken a stand for in God’s Kingdom, here on earth and in heaven. He is nothing and can do nothing. We “dwell in the house of the Lord” forever, no one, no thing can take that us away from that.
When we do face trials, as I know we all do, its apart of life. “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and [when you pass] through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.” [Isaiah 43:2]. Not a matter of if, but when. We are in battle here , right here, right now, wherever your physical location. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
We have only but to ask, because He has promised to care for us even when everyone else fails us. Ask for His protection, because He’s not giving up on us. He loves us too much. We are told in Romans 8, verse 38, that absolutely nothing in ALL of creation separates us from His love. Be certain that you will see the Lord’s goodness here on earth. Also know, that it may not come in a nice, neat package, because it probably won’t. “Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord. “

Did you read Psalm 27? If you didn’t, I hope you will go back now and read the words of David, words from a man, a man after God’s own heart. I want to be a woman after God’s own heart. Would you be willing to pray with me in that? Pray that my team, LinC 10:10, would be a team of men and women after God’s own heart?
