Man, I love ATL.

This month has been amazing! I have loved being able to literally ask the Lord for each step I take during the day. Last week, during our first fasting day, God told me this month will be a training ground for the rest of my life- it’s amazing seeing those habits develop.

This morning, we headed over to the village Lynda. Some of my teammates have been here a couple times over the past week- this was my first time.

We crossed over the super sketch bridge and took a minute or two to enjoy the beauty of Zambia! It may be the “green/off season,” but I can’t imagine being here any other time of year.

We walked into the village, 80 Kwacha ($8 USD) soccer ball in hand, and found some kids.

We stayed there for a couple hours, talking, playing, singing, and telling them about Jesus.

One of the girls “plaited” Em’s hair- one small braid. They asked me if I wanted my hair plaited, and, expecting the same as Em, I said yes and took a chunk of hair out of my hair binder. They had me sit down and, suddenly, a group of girls descended upon me and I got my whole head braided.

It took about 15 minutes so we continued to sing songs and chat together.

We had so much fun in Lynda and are planning on going back Saturday morning.

Also- today is International Women’s Day and in Zambia, it’s a big deal! There was a parade (that we missed because we didn’t know about it until after) and the kids were even out of school. We are having our own celebration as a team tonight- pizza, popcorn, and Moana!

Life is good.
God is amazing!
