Who is it that I want to be?
I want to be bold.
I want to be courageous.
I want to be gracious
And forgiving.
I want to be obedient.
I want to be diligent.
I want to be uplifting
And encouraging.
I want to be patient.
I want my spirit to be still when needed.
I want to cry out when uneasy
And not cry against.
I want to love without boundaries.
I want to give all of me
And expect nothing in return.
I want to fear my Maker
And nothing else.
In each of these individual things
I want to be bold.
I want my life to be a picture
Of God's perfect brush strokes.
I want to walk with such confidence in God
That man cannot shake.
I want to stand firm when the ground begins to sink.
More than each of these characteristics,
I want to be His.
Wholly. Purely. Perfectly His.
I am His.
Through Him alone I am each and
every characteristic of Him;
And that I desire to be.
