I am writing to give you an update on where I am on my mission toward my Mission! Let me start by saying thank you so much for your prayers and financial support so far! I am continually blessed by them!
Here are a few things I have coming up that I am asking you to partner with me in prayer on. Please pray that God would let my words and actions through these events be ever increasingly exuding who He is in my [our] lives!
*April 6-I was randomly asked to set up concessions at a Vendor/Craft show here in Piqua. While I had to buy and prepare the food upfront, all the proceeds of the food sale will go toward The World Race
*April 7- I was, again, randomly asked by my friend, who is a youth leader, to come speak to her youth group about missions, as that is what their lesson is about this week. I am excited to not only share about how we are called to "GO into all the world preaching the Gospel to every creature" but also, maybe, just maybe plant a seed of desire to reach out in missions.
*April 14- There are two girls in Troy (less than 15 min. away from me) who are on my squad, Bethany and Tiffany. Bethany and I met before we knew about Tiffany and decided to send letters to local churches asking to allow us to come speak about The World Race, and ask for donations. On this day we will be speaking at our first church together- Phillipsburg Missionary Church. Please pray that their hearts and minds will be open to what we are doing and gracious in support for us.
***April 20- BENEFIT DINNER!!! I am having a benefit dinner at The Gathering Place in Piqua at 6:30pm. There will be a Silent Dessert Auction and food and good fellowship. I invite you to come fellowship with us!! It is $10/plate or $35 for families of 4+. I also invite you to pray for this event and that we would have a good turn out. I will also be sharing my testimony about The World Race, and if you know me, I get very nervous when things are focused on me, so please pray that I remember it is all for the Kingdom of God and nothing about me!
*May 11- Another speaking engagement with Bethany at Great Hope Community Church in New Carlisle.
Thank you so much for your support! It really does mean the world to me! I am very close to having all of my gear purchased, and that is exciting to me; checking off small things makes a HUGE difference!
