I've been reading the book Indescribable by Matt Redman and Louis Giglio and it is blowing my mind! As I sat alone under he stars last night I smiled, jumped up and ran back to my room saying I have to write. Now! Here is what conspired. Enjoy.

As I stare at the silhouetted trees
Against the night sky
The stars are illuminated all the more,
I am reminded how the stars are
Singing above me
And while I cannot hear them,
I can see them dance.
I can see the swirling
And whirling
That creates the sounds of
One hundred orchestras
And in seeing the whirling
Balls of gas
We being to sing together.
We write the greatest of all symphonies;
Exalting the greatest of all Gods.
We raise our voices to the
Creator and Maker of us both
Creating the most perfect of harmonies.
One sound is off key so Orion
Spins a bit faster to create
The perfect pitch.
Other galaxies lean in to
Hear praise to their same Maker
Wondering if they know this song.
For once the stars are in awe of a
Created being from a tiny planet
In a small galaxy.
They listen to the chorus playing
over and over
And finally they join in singing praise.
The stringed symphony now has added
Horns and reeds.
The drums begin to sing their
Steady rhythmic beats.
The pianist looks longly at the harpist
To strike its first note.
As the electric guitar takes lead
Playing an alternate melody
The galaxies come together as one sound.
As one praise.
Just as my one voice of praise in this
Vast yet small universe is perfect
To my Maker's ears,
Each note of swirling symphonic frequency
Gives God a praise
That never stops singing.
My eyes shift back to earth,
To the silhouetted trees and
I smile.
It was a beautiful composition
And I know my Maker was pleased.
