"The devil roams like a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour."
1 Peter 5.8

In Swaziland I had at least three dreams which involved me looking down a dirt path in a jungle. I see a lion, a King, with his large mane. His back is to me. Every time I have this dream the same thing happens; he turns and looks at me, right at me, almost through me. Naturally, everywhere I went in Africa I looked for this lion.
I wanted to see one so bad!

One morning I went hiking up a mountain and again, I searched for a lion, even though our guide Mkliese told us there would not be any. As we neared the top, which is considered South Africa, I asked God why he has given me these dreams if everywhere I go lions are not seen (and I really really wanted to see one!! *sorry mom*). That's when God spoke. He told me that He is the lion. When He turns and looks at me, He is letting me know that He knows I am still following. He is before me because He is leading me. He is on a dirt path in the jungle because the journey is tight and hard, but no matter how narrow it gets, He will always keep me safe, He will always be before me, and He will never lead me astray.

At this point, you may be wondering why I opened with the verse I did. Well, are you?  You see the Bible speaks of lions not only as the strong King of the Jungle (Proverbs 28.1 the wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as lions) but it also speaks of how the devil parades around as a wolf in sheep's clothing. He is very capable of leading us also; leading us astray.

So,which lion are you following? Are you following the one leading you astray? or are you staying focused on the King of the Jungle, the King of Kings who only calls you to greatness and not to harm?
