All I've done and you forgive me?
You don't forgive someone by dying
…dying on a cross!
Your record is clean;
mine is so obscene!
With my mouth, I've murdered
With my actions, I've slandered
With my body, I've shamed.
Who am I that You would
find me worthy to die for?
Who am I that You would
forgive my debts;
wipe me clean?
It should be me in your place!
It should be me;
beaten, torn, nearing death!
But you, you took my place!
You forgave my sins;
You've freed my shame.
I look upon your beaten,
bruised and bloody face
And I see the passion of a
perfect lamb.
I look at the holes in your hands,
your feet, your side
And I see those holes are where
you filled in my own.
Who am I that you would release me from my chains,
from my burdens?
Who am I that you would choose
ME?
It should be me;
scarred and hanging
with breathless life.
It should be me!
But instead it was me you chose
It was me you died for.
It was me you carried for;
you carried my weight
you carried my world!
WHY?
How can I repay?
What can I do to repay my
Saviour?
I will live my life in your honor
Is that enough?
I will sing your praises daily
I have to do more.
How can I repay?
"Go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations!"

Thank you, Father, for sending Jesus. For sending your one and only son; a third of your being. You sent him to earth. You sent him to an incredible death. Thank you. Thank you Jesus for bearing the weight of my sin knowing I could not bear it alone! Thank you for freeing me from my guilt and iniquities.
You, alone, are more than enough for me.
