As I sit here on the couch listening to the little girl that I'm nannying fall asleep in her crib peacefully.
I can't help but cry thinking about the little girls who die before celebrating their 1 year old birthday.
I can't even really begin to express how much my heart is hurting right now. How much it's shattering into a million pieces. That millions of little girls die just because they are a GIRL.
I think to myself..
How can a family member do this to this innocent little girl?
Those little girls are a gift from God and in India people think that girls are a financial burden to the family so they just kill them because they aren't worth it. And that boys are way more worth it to the family than girls are.
It is heartbreaking!

If a girl makes it to birth her OWN family may murder her. AND the ONLY reason is because she is a girl.
If a baby survives her first week she may be subject to lethal violence or neglect.
If a girl makes it to adulthood she may be sold into human-trafficking
This is no life that ANY girl to ever be forced into having.
For so long I was never excited about going to India to serve for a year. But I know God put me on this Route for a specific reason. Buting is changing my heart for this country.
I am so excited to be serving in India this coming year. My heart continues to break for these girls. My heart breaks that the families don't see the GIRLS as valuable. I know that God will some crazy things while we are in India. I just pray that the people that we come in contact with will have open hearts and be willing to listen to what God has to say through the people who have been called to go to India to minister and bring a light to this place.
I know that God is moving in my heart already to work with people overseas to be a missionary in 11 countries for a year. To be wrecked with what God does. I'm excited to see how we can all help make a change with what we have not only our team but all over our supporters who are joining in with us through prayer and financially because we could not get to the places that we are going without your help.
All my lady friends, BE THANKFUL that you're living today when so many girls in India don't even see their first birthday. I know that i have alot to be thankful for living in America.
