The Love Encounters Romania

God has taught me a lot about love this month. My sister has always said, Laura, you love the unlovable. Those who aren’t seen by society, the forgotten. Then during this past month working with the home for handicap and orphaned women my team told me, Laura, you see the invisible. Those who aren’t apart of what’s going on, who sit by themselves and aren’t a part of the popular crowd. I’ve realized that all this is true, and it’s such an amazing gift that I am so thankful God gave me.

One of my favorite things to do at ministry this month was sit next to Florintina on the side of the driveway and play with rocks. For a good hour or two, not talking, just starring at the rocks. It was so sweet to me to just join her, to be able to enter her world for a few hours. To listen to the therapeutic sound the rocks made as you sprinkle them from hand to hand. Everyone else would be jump roping, inside the building or playing games in the front and all I did was sit there. It touched my heart so deeply. That was my love encounter that stood out the most to me this month. I pray that God helps me to keep seeing the invisible so that God can show them love through me.
