“Malachi�
My heart has always been on adoption and I was blessed to work at a beautiful orphanage this past month. The Door of Hope location I was working in was for Small Babies (preemie to 4 months), Big Babies (3 months to 1 year), and Starfish (7months to 2 years). (Starfish is a special room for children who have health issues. Asthma, HIV, Blind, etc)
I worked with the Big Babies everyday but one day I was excited to be placed in the Small babies. I leapt at the chance to meet new babies to love on! I worked with Auntie Sarah and had an amazing time snuggling with them. After my break for tea I came back into the room to find out that we had a new baby.
(I literally jumped up and down)
They had brought in a baby boy who was 9 days old, he’s a lodger which means that he was only staying with us for a week or so. His mother was sick and still in the hospital so he needed somewhere to stay.
He came with no name and as I prayed over him, I gave him a special name. I named him, Malachi. I have known for ten years that God was going to bless me with a son named Malachi, as he will be a prophet to the nations, and to share this name with this new baby made my heart leap.

I prayed for this little one and spoke truth over him as I weighed him, fed him, cuddled him and kissed his soft hair.
I don’t know what will happen to Malachi, he was still there when I left, but I know that God has great plans for him.
