I thought I would post a blog with some pictures of all the animals I have seen.  There are some rather interesting ones.  I am not putting them all up, but this should give you an idea of the variety.  In the rainforest, and later, I will hopefully see even more!

This was on our second day in Chincha- actually out in Tambo de Mora.  These are just some random cattle a man was leading down the street.

In Chincha, we had a pet Chicken, whom we dubbed Howie.  Howie, however, is a she.  She really liked my tent, and dug herself a hole-nest to lay eggs in.  I got about 5 eggs in this hole in the last week we were there.  This is one of them, as you can see right by my tent and shoes (which you can see are filthy, but I never actually wore- it´s all the dirt Howie dug out for her eggs.)  My teammates said to fill in the hole, but I thought it was kind of entertaining, and always looked forward to the eggs.

While in Chincha, I went on a speedboat tour, in which I saw a lot of different animals.  To see those photos click here.

In Nauta, we ate some alligator.  It was actually pretty good.  Since then, I have had a little bit more, which was also good.  I wanted to eat a BBQ grub at a restaurant we were at, but no one else would eat one with me, and since they came in skewers of 4 and I wasn´t about to eat 4 I did not.

While Rubie and I were cleaning Graciella´s house, we cleaned out some rat babies, and we also saw a giant frog.

On the boat in Nauta, we had a pet cat named Moses.  He got said name because little children threw him into the river twice.  He almost drowned, but we managed to save him both times.  He was a great cat, and liked to torture the cockroaches before he ate them.

At Jorge´s house in Iquitos, we have lots of pets.  We have a dog named Chico, a brown cat and this turtle.

Last weekend a few of us went to a zoo/beach.  We saw a bunch of animals there.

This is at the zoo, and I got to hold the whole Boa Constrictor.  It was a little creepy, but overall pretty fun.  It is a very squishy animal.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of the animals!
