These are some of the things Michael said at debrief. They are just short sentances, things for you to chew on:
-There is a difference between praying in tongues and speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit is evidenced by the ability (not the mandate) of praying in tongues, which is our spirit communing with God’s Spirit. Speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit that is for public use and requires interpretation.
-Jesus always preached hell to the Pharisees and grace to the sinners.
-If being saved was all about getting to Heaven then we would be saved and then God would kill us.
-People don’t go to hell because they sin, they go to hell because they don’t choose Jesus. Jesus paid the wages of sin by dying, it is up to us to accept His gift of payment.
-Innocent people don’t become defensive.
Another quote from a book I am reading by Liberty Savard called Shattering your Strongholds:
When you first come to Christ, your life is like a big pile of jigsaw puzzle pieces. By faith you believe there is a potential for your life to become like the box lid God has in heaven- a pleasing picture to Him and to others around you. But how the puzzle pieces will fit together is not clear. This mystery is futher compounded by your lack of understanding that many of your most cherished pieces won’t fit in the final picture.
