Posting blogs is more difficult than one might imagine on a Palm Pilot. Hopefully I will get this to work. I have a new team, that I have been with since the plane ride to Lima. My new teammates are Mark, Tammy, Steve, and Rachel. I really like them, and I believe that God had me change because He knew that this would be a great team for me to be on. The decision to switch came about because my team had 6 people and the other team had had a person switch to July team, so they only had 4 people. It was a lot of prayer, and quite a bit of struggle for me to accept that God was saying that it was me that was supposed to switch. As we were walking into immigration in Lima, I was telling Terri that I would be the one to switch teams. I wasn’t too happy about it, but after spending the day with them on Sunday during the race, I can see that God really does know what He is doing. Race day was really fun. Although my team did not get to go white water rafting, we got to go to the ocean, and all around Lima doing different things. The people at the church we are staying at are so awesome. They have such servants hearts. They have opened their home and yard to us (since they live at the church because their house was ruined in the earthquake) for a whole month. We all live in our tents, with bathrooms that have toilets that you can’t throw the toilet paper into, and you need a bucket of water to flush and bucket showers. It is a totally different experience, but I am still enjoying it, even 3 days in, despite the goats that are about two feet away from my head and wake us up at 5:45. Check out the video that some of the girls made about camp here. They will be posting in a couple of days. Talk to you later.
