At debrief at the end of November, there were a few team changes that were made. It was announced that 5 people were going to begin "training" to be raised up as squad leaders. One entire team was disbanded. A few teams were shuffled around. It was a very emotional time for everyone. The night before the announcements were made, we were given the evening to celebrate our team as it was for the past three months.
During this time, Erin broke the news to us. Team Tumbler was staying together, but we were adding one to our ranks. We were all excited about both of these things. We used the night to continue to hash out what has been started these past few months and to prepare to welcome our new member with open arms.
At 8 o'clock the next morning, it was official: Cathy Carty was a member of Team Tumbler. We caught wind of news that other teams were changing their team names since the people on the team had changed. We discussed this as a team, sharing the origin of our name with Cathy, and decided that we would keep our name. Cathy was just another stone being thrown into the tumbler to be polished and refined by each of us as we refined each other.
