TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS I AM LEAVING:
Thank you all for all of your love and support! Words would be a futile attempt to describe how I feel: blessed, loved. Seeing you all come out to see me off was such a gift! Thank you all for each of the roles you’ve played in my life. People always say ‘you never know what you’ve got til it’s gone.’ I knew I had a great network of family and friends, but leaving has showed me just how great you all are. I may have taken you for granted at some point, but know that I thank God for each and every one of you. I would not be the person I am today without you guys! I didn’t realize how hard it would be to say good-bye to you all- many tears were cried and I’m sure there are more to come.
To my family especially, I thank you all for your strength and courage to let me go. I know how hard that must have been for you. We are such a tight-knit family; it is difficult to go long without talking with or seeing each other. I promise you that I am not abandoning you. I love you all so so much. I am doing this trip for you guys as much as I am doing it for myself and those I will meet along the way. I pray that you would grow through this as much as I am going to. Read my blogs, see what God is doing around the world. Know that He is Lord- He created everything and is still in control of everything. I cannot promise that I will return, but know that I am going in the protection of His wing. He holds my next breath in His hand, and none of us are promised tomorrow. Live your life how God created you to live!
To my friends, especially those that came to Valley Forge yesterday, thank you for your prayers and thank you for sending me in the Spirit. You are all such a blessing and the truths you spoke into me yesterday, were exactly what I needed to hear. You all have been such a blessing during my time at Drexel and it means so much to me to be sent by you guys!
To all you, “I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on behalf.” [Romans 15:30] Know that I am not going on this trip on my own strength. It is only by God’s grace that I am able to leave. Please continue to pray for me and my team. Prayer is a powerful weapon! Through God, all things are possible!
“I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” [Psalm 121]
